Aim: - To understand the basics of a control system.
- To be able to model dynamic systems - specially servomotors.
- To be capable of applying tools for analysis and design when working with linear control systems. |
Contents: Construction and static properties of a servomotor.
Control systems: Construction and fundamentals.
Dynamic systems: Block diagram representation, pole-zero diagrams and the corresponding transients, dominating poles, stability.
Dynamics modelling in: Thermal systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems, electromechanical systems - specially servomotors. The Root Locus Method.
Frequency analysis: Gain margin, phase margin, peak magnification factor, resonant frequency, correspondence from Bode diagrams to step response, Nichols diagrams, design of PI and PD controllers.
