Aim: The objective of the course is to make the student able to evaluate, choose or construct suitable interface (i.e. amplifiers, multiplexers and analog/digital converters) between transducers measuring physical quantities (i.e. pressure, temperature and position) and a computer, and some software, so the acquired data may be processed and stored and perhaps used for controlling a process. |
Contents: Measuring physical quantities. Transducers.
Signal conditioning. Multiplexing. Converting.
Software construction.
Decentralized measurements. Intelligent transducers.
Measurement presentation. |
