Aim: The aim of this cource is to give the students knowledge in physical, chemical and biochemical sensors and to make them able to evaluate sensors according to requirements from measurements accuracy, reproducibility, reliability, calibration etc.
Contents: Physical sensors (temperature, humidity, mass, acceleration, position, velocity, flow, force, optics).
Chemical sensors ( oxygene, gas, pH). Biochemical sensors.
Smart sensors, micromechanical systems combined with electronics in chips.
Standards, statistical methods, failures.
Calibration, accuracy, reprocibility, reliability.
