Aim: It is the objective of the course to provide the student with knowledge and practical experience in the design of electroacoustic systems and in the application of CAD tools for the design of such systems. |
Contents: The course is arranged as projecst dealing with the design and eventual construction of electroacoustic systems. The projects include the acquisition of the necessary theory and application of FFT-based measurements and signal analysis and CAD tools. The needed theory will be taught to an extent determined by the actual projects and may include subject such as sound fields, room-acoustics, perception of sound, speech intelligibility, loudspeaker design and systems and microphones. CAD tools are programs intended for electrical network analysis and design, for design of loudspeaker enclosures and sound reinforcement systems, for sound field and room-acoustical calculations and finite element programs for vibration analysis.
