Aim: To enable the students to specify, design and apply microcomputers in industrial systems. Industrial systems are defined here as control and supervision systems in industrial environments. |
Contents: Introduction to C and Unix. Program development tools, make, version control (CVS) etc. Program and system development, software quality control. Introduction to industrial system hardware. The Motorola VME-bus, proces interface equipment, real time operating systems and real time programming. Functional structure of systems for control and supervision. PLC-systems (Programmable Logic Controllers), introduction to networks. |
