Aim: To give the participants a knowledge on the nature, detailing and calculation of structures exposed to high temperatures from fires and industrial processes. |
Contents: After an introduction of the thermal preconditions the temperature distributions are found for fire exposed constructions. Properties are presented of the structural materials exposed to high temperatures. Calculational models are derived as reduced cross sections for the evaluation of the fire stability of structural elements and assemblies. Examples are given on practical design. |
