| Aim: The aim of the course is to enable the students to solve real time problems in the chemical industry. |  
| Contents:  Description of computer hardware (construction and functioning of a microcomputer and of the process interface). The programming language Modula-2 for real time computing. The construction of programs for the following purposes: data acquisition, calcula- tions, alarm monitoring, process control, hourly and daily report generation. |
