Scope and form: Lectures, groupwork and excursion to an industrial plant.
Examination: Approval of compulsory reports with oral exam. (13 point scale )
Remarks: Evaluation of the course is based upon reports outlining the basic engineering of a process.

Aim: The course trains the student in combining several unit operations into more complex processes in order to satisfy specific needs.
Contents: Specific tools teached as part of the course: mass and energy balance, flow sheeting, instrumentation (no control theory), P&I diagramming, economics of projects and operations. The unit operations of destillations are also covered. The course will focus actual existing cases.
