Aim: The aim of the course is to give an introduction to electrostatics, electrodynamics and circuit theory.
Contents: Coulomb's law, electrostatic field and potential. Gauss' law. Capacitance. Electric dipole, electric fields in matter, dielectric constant. Electric current, current density, conduc- tivity, the laws of Ohm and Joule. Electromotive forces. Magnetic fields from stationary currents, magnetic dipole. Magnetic fields in matter, permeability. Kirchhoff's circuit laws. RL-, RC- and RLC-circuits. Electric oscillations, resonance. Alternating currents. Complex impedance. Resonance circuits. Semiconducters of p- and n-type. Diodes, transistors.
