| Aim: he aim of the course is to teach the students the application of physical chemistry to industrial processes. |
| Contents: Equation of states for real gases. Thermodynamic calculations on chemical reactors with simultaneous equilibria with particular emphasis on high pressure reactors. Generalized methods for the determination of HR, GR, SR and fugacity coefficients. Group contribution methods for the determination of critical properties and thermodynamic properties. Compressors, refrigerating plants and heat pumps. Liquefaction. Multicomponent phase equilibria. P-T, T-x, P-x and x-y diagrams. Calculation of activity coefficients. Thermodynamic process analysis. |
