Aim: The aim of the course is an introduction to modern organic chemical instrumentation and experimental techniques, thereby substantiating the theoretical subjects treated in 91365 which is taken simultaneously with this course. 91365 and 91366 must be considered as a unity.
Contents: Preparation and reactions of complex organic substances. Purification and/or characterization by destillation, crystallization, sublimation, chromatography, electrometric titration, spectroscopy (UV, IR, NMR, MS), polarimetry, derivatization, etc.
In order to fulfill the requirements of the course, written reports on all exercises must be approved.
