Aim: The course describes the position of the construction sector in economics, nationally and internationally. Furthermore, it describes the firm structure and the labour market conditions in the light of the technological and the political development. |
Contents: The introducing lectures deal with the special characteristics of the construction sector, including the activity areas of the firms, the organization as well as use of technology and manpower. The industrialization of the sector is described in connection with the development of the building material industry and related to the political-economical control. Furthermore, the increasing internationalization of the sector is discussed in a strategic perspective. The group work will be based upon problems within the above mentioned themes. |
