Aim: To enable the students to design, construct and maintain different types of road pavements. |
Contents: The course consist of four parts: (1) Soils engineering including soil survey, soil compaction and soil stabilization, (2) highway materials, elements of flexible pavements, manufacture and placement of asphalt, (3) thickness design based on elastic theory and (4) pavement maintenance including pavement management systems. |
