Aim: To give the students a deeper knowledge of digital photogrammetry and related image processing techniques used in mapping, computer vision and image analysis
Contents: The geometrical and mathematical conditions for 3 dimensional measurements in photos and digital images are given. Images from metric cameras, standard cameras, video cameras and multispectral scanners as well as plotter instruments and image processing equipment are analyzed and discussed. Applications of photogrammetry are illustrated by exercises comprising compilation from photos taken by the students, processing of satellite images for mapping purposes, and visiting photogrammetric companies.
