Aim: To enable the participants -to explain and to use in practice advanced calculation methods for the solution of geotechnical problems in normal engineering practice. -to explain the most important constructive solutions for problems such as: Open cuts, retaining walls, quay constructions, sheet pile walls, earth dams, and mast foundations. -to calculate such constructions and to understand the criteria used to choose between different alternative solutions. |
Contents: Seepage problems. Stability problems. Advanced earth pressure theory. Plane pile foundations. Retaining walls. Sheet pile walls. Open cuts. |
