| Aim: To give the students knowledge of elementary computer science concepts and to give them practical experience in using computers in a chemical engineering context.  | 
| Contents:  A modern programming language (PASCAL) is given with examples from different areas of chemistry. In the lectures, computer science concepts are given: data elements and structures, algorithms, documentation, debugging. Information about the structure of computers and operating systems is given as well. |
