| Aim: To give the student a deeper theoretical insight into numerical analysis and acquaint him with advanced algorithms for solving a variety of computational problems. The project exercises, which involve the use of computers and available program libraries, give the student a familiarity with practical problem solving. |
| Contents: Presentation of the following topics: Sparse matrix techniques, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), Global optimization with use of interval analysis. |
