| Aim: To provide the students with the basic knowledge to chemistry and process dynamics required to perform a theoretical handling of problems related to soil and groundwater pollution, water pollution, soil treatment, and waste water treatment in a qualified way. |
| Contents: Process kinetics, process hydraulics, aeration, chemical equilibria, phase distributions in multiphase systems, carbonate chemistry, ion exchange, sorption, redox systems. Important unit operations used in water treatment plants. |
