Aim: To enable the students to solve technological problems, as they exist in industries, processing or using plastics materials, including
a) Selecting a plastics material for a given product considering processing possibilities and conditions of use
b) Selecting processes and equipment for plastics processing
c) Setting up guidelines for product- and tooldesign |
Contents: Properties and structure of plastics. Environmental considerations. Plastics as material for construction. Material testing. Systematic selection of plastic materials. Processing properties of plastics. Plastic processes and their parameters. Machines and tools. Demand from processes to material and design. |
