Aim: Recognizing the major changes, which companies have to go through to be able to function under current changing conditions, it is necessary to establish a strategic competence for industrial engineers. The students should be able to prepare coherent solutions integrating marketing, products, production and management.
In accordance to this the goal is: to enable the student to understand the interplay between the developments and changes in the environment and the internal stucture of a company, i.e. in product and market relations, technology development, the capability of the production and the management systems. Furthermore to enable the student to prepare an integrated planning of a company's technology and business development. |
Contents: Concepts and methods related to corporate and business strategy. Mission of the company. Strategy for developments of products, production systems and management systems. The role of technology. Different types of technology. Innovation and technology management. Management and Organizational aspects related to implementation of strategic and technological changes. |
