| Aim: To train the students in the use of methods for the determination of ship stability, ship resistance, ship motions and ship propulsion, including the interaction between ship, machinery and propeller. | 
| Contents: A problem within the fields of ship stability, ship resistance, ship propulsion, ship manoeuvring, and ship motions in waves, will be examined. Literature studies. Formulation of a mathematical or physical model. Computer calculations or experiments. |
