| Aim: To enable the students to elaborate proposals for floating and submerged structures for exploring of the ocean and for utilizing energy and other resources in or under the sea. |
| Contents: The ocean resources. Sea waves as a deterministic and stochastic process. Forces from waves, current and wind. Design and management of offshore structures. Surface vehicles, semi-submersibles and tension leg platforms, submarines. Motions, positioning and mooring. Drilling. Risk analysis. Corrosion. Maintenance. Diving. Model testing. |
