Aim: To give the students experience in handling more complex flow problems, theoretical and/or practical. |
Contents: Longshore currents shall be described in far greater detail than in 57105 Basic Hydraulics 2. It is particularly important to describe the bed friction in a combined wave/current movement in more detail (the influence of the waves must be included), and a subroutine for a computer program must be developed. Together with a description of the driving forces this subroutine shall be used to develop a general computer program for longshore currents. |
