Aim: To describe all significant hydrodynamic forces on offshore structures. |
Contents: Description of wave climate offshore (irregular and three-dimensional waves), current and wave forces on cylinders and pipelines (drag and inertia forces). Response of the structures. Vibration analysis regarding fixed and compliant systems. Lectures will be provided also by guest lecturers from companies who work in the area of offshore engineering. |
