Aim: To expose the students to microcomputer based modelling systems for rivers and channels and to give them some practical experience in their use. |
Contents: Presentation of user-friendly software packages for the simulation of one-dimensional flows, water quality and sediment transport in rivers and channels. Illustration of the practical applicability of such modelling tools for the management of water resources systems. Students own model set-up and calibration for selected problems. |
