Aim: To provide the students with a knowledge of how society and industry handles the relations between employers and employees. To obtain an insight into how the enterprise organization is built and how it functions. Focus is placed on planning of technological development and the change processes related to the development of work.
Contents: The historical development of the Labour Market in Denmark with focus on development of central institutions and arrangements. Characteristics about the Scandinavian Labour Market compared to other countries. The role of the Unions and the relations between collective agreements and legislation. The historical development of the Labour Market including sex related division of labour and segmented Labour Market. Distribution of working and living conditions on social groups and new strategies for development of work and improvement of the working environment. Theories and ideas about industry, planning and participation of the employees. The agreement system on enterprising level including conflicts and how to cope with them.
