Aim: To describe methods, techniques and models for proces development, design, operation and separation processes in biotechnology. Many of these separation processes are rate controlled including chrystallization, chromato-
graphy and membrane separations. |
| Contents: Crystallization, crystal growth, distributions, precipitation, adsorption, batchadsorption, chromatographic methods (linear chromatography, frontal analyses and preparativ chromatography), chromatographic techniques (gel filtration, ion exchange, hydrophobic- and reserved phase), and membrane separations. |
