Aim: The course is aimed at giving the students a first hand practical knowledge of chemical process industries and how they are run. Further to convey to the students an insight and an understanding of the working conditions for engineers and other groups of employees in the chemical industry.
Contents: A small assignment is given to the student at the start of the working period. The type of assignment will depend on the nature of the company in question. Examples are: Energy optimation, process control, formulation of models based on process data, investigation into process troubles, testing new methods of analysis and evaluation of new production methods.
