Aim: To enable the participants:
* To evaluate the influence of polymerization conditions on structure and properties of polymers
* To know general relationships between structure, properties and use patterns
*To be able to make reasonable material selection for given applications. |
Contents: Influence of polymerization kinetics on the molecular structure of polymer materials. Crystallinity, melting temperature and glass transition temperature. Polymers in solution and polymer characterization. Structure-property materials. Polymer melt rheology. Viscoelasticity. Degradation. Processing of polymer materials. The most commercially important polymers are treated. |
