Aim: In conjunction with Advanced Calculus A and Advanced Calculus 3 to provide a foundation for physical and technical applications as well as further study within pure and applied mathematics. |
Contents: Complex numbers, roots of polynomials, complex exponential function. N'th order linear differential equations with constant coefficients. Maximum and minimum for functions of several variables. Multiple integrals, curve integrals and surface integrals. Flux, circulation, divergence and curl of a vector field. Gauss' theorem, Stokes' theorem. Potential functions. Applications. |
