Aim: To provide in conjunction with courses in Advanced Calculus a foundation for physical and technical applications as well as further study within pure and applied mathematics. |
Contents: Systems of linear equations. Matrix algebra. Determinants. Vector spaces. Linear mappings. The eigenvalue problem, including diagonalisation. Euclidean vector space. Symmetric matrices. Orthogonal matrices. Quadratic forms. |
