Aim: The purpose of this course is to enable the students to study and solve a number of problems in partial differential equations stemming from Mathematical Physics by using tools from Calculus. |
Contents: Linear partial differential equations. Wave equation. Heat transmission equation. Sources. Boundary value problems and separation of variables. Fourier series and completeness. Harmonic functions and the Laplace equation. Poissons formula. |
