Aim: To give the student an understanding of the physics and technology of the most important semiconductor devices. Further, to enable the student to choose the right device for an application |
Contents: Physics and fabrication technology for the main semiconductor devices.Transport and dynamics in the presence of an electric field, pontential effect, field effect, and quantum effect devices are emphasized. Among the devices covered are modern heterostructure devices such as Hetero Junction Bipolar Transistors, High Electron Mobility Transistors and Ballistic Injection Devices. |
