Aim: To give the students a knowledge of the driving forces in supply and demand in the telecommunication area both nationally and internationally |
Contents: The transition from monopoly to competition in the telecommunication area changes the relations between supply and demand and existing production flows change. The telecommunication markets are internationalising both in terms of increasing trade and foreign investments. The course gives an overview of technological, economic, and political driving forces in the constitution of markets for equipment and services in the telecommunication area both nationally and internationally. Traditional and recent methods of market analysis are introduced. Furthermore, theories on market formation and internationalisation with specific emphasis on telecommunication are presented. |
