| Aim: To impart to the students a knowledge of fundamental principles and physical laws of thermodynamics, so that they can execute calculations of temperature, pressure, work and heat exchange processes and give the students a foundation for further study on this subject. |
| Contents: Systems, properties, work and heat exchange processes, vapour and gas cycles, phase changes, thermal conduction, convection and radiation of heat. |
