Aim: To supplement a knowledge of traditional and advanced high voltage cable technology and to give the students experience in application of methods for dimensioning and diagnosis of these cable types. |
Contents: The topics treated are:
- Design and application of paper/oil and XLPE cables, thermal aspects under different load conditions
- Superconducting cables
- Partial discharges in high voltage cables
- Exercise 1: Diagnosis of 10kV DTU-cable.
- Theoretical approach on the formation of space charges in high voltage cables
- Exercise 2: Measurement of space charges |
