Aim: To present problems with transportation and to give a general introduction to vehicle dynamics and enable the student to formulate and solve problems of techniques (energy and safety) related to the use and control of engine vehicles.
Contents: Transport, energy, accident. Static and dynamic properties of wheels. Power transmission; tyre resistance, friction conditions, slip conditions, rolling resistance, driving power, power demand, characteristics of available driving engines, driving condition diagrams, choice of gearing, brake, brake systems, steering and stability, suspension and oscilattion conditions
