| Aim: To give the students knowledge of the construction and operation of District Heating (DH) systems and to enable them to calculate and analyse such systems. |
| Contents: Structure of the heating sector in Denmark. Legislation. Components in DH systems. Economic evaluation. Tariffs and heat metering. House stations for heat and hot water supply. Hydraulic design of pipes. Heat loss determination. Calculation of pressures and temperatures in networks. Looped networks. Pumps. Water treatment. Low temperature operation and optimization. |
