Aim: Through exercises, to supply the student with practical experience in developing, coding and testing larger computer programs for technical applications. To supply training in using UNIX-based workstations. |
Contents: FORTRAN including the more advanced elements of this programming language. Solving mechanical engineering problems using a computer. Program documentation. Interactive programs. Data structures. Using external files. Output presentation, including simple graphical visualization. Numerical software libraries. |
