Aim: To supply the student with practical experience in using commercial finite element programs for numerical solution of problems related to solid mechanics. Obtaining an understanding of the possibilities and restrictions attached to the application of commercial finite element programs is emphasized. |
Contents: Topics related to finite element solutions. Building the analysis model, applying mesh and boundary conditions, solution and result presentation for different problems using ANSYS. |
