Aim: The aim is to let the students do 5 physics experiments ( each of three days ) at 5 different universities/research institutes, however, not at The Technical University of Denmark, in order to give the student a general idea of the research activities within physics. Research activities which might not be represented at the studentīs own university. A corresponding course exists at other universities and the students of these univerties will have the possibility to do physics experimenets at The Technical University of Denmark. |
Contents: The list of experiments changes from time to time. The contact person will be informed of experiments offered. In August 1998 the following experiments were offered: Neutron scattering from rare earths, Risø National Laboratory, Roskilde, Phonon and spin waves studied by neutron in elastic scattering, Risø National Laboratory, Roskilde, Surface properties of solid matter studied by electron optical methods, Odense University, Particle physics, Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, Electron capture in atomic collisoins, Aarhus Universities, Glass transitions, phase transitions or dynamic phenomena, Roskilde University Centre, Applied semiconductor physics, Aarhus University, Local structure in protein, The Royal Veterinary and Agriculture University, Copenhagen, Acoustic resonance in quantum chaos, Niels Bohr Insitute, University of Copenhagen, Rotation structure in deformed atomic nuclei, Niels Bohr Insitute, University of Copenhagen, Risø National laboratory, Roskilde, Determination of characteristic parameters for astrophysical semiconductor detectors, Astronomic Observatory, The use of NMR for Physical/ chemical analysis and medical imaging, Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, and some projects at The Technical University of Denmark, which cannot be chosen by DTU students. |
