Aim: To give students a profound understanding of the concepts in probability and statistics as they appear in engineering and science. |
Contents: Probability theori. Bayes' theorem. Probability distributions in one and two dimensions.
Mean, variance and standard deviation.
Covariance and correlations coefficient.
Confidence intervals for mean, proportion, variance and standard deviation.
Test on hypotheses. Goodness-of-fit test.
Linear regression and analysis of variance
