Aim: The aim of the course is to enable the students to
- understand the internet and its protocols
- setup and maintain a WEB-server
- use tools for WEB-publishing, HTML, JAVA-script and CGI
- access databases from the internet, ASP, ODBC
- understand intranet, internet and firewalls |
Contents: - Internet architecture, how does it work?
- Different types of protocols
- Basic HTML
- Construction of homepages with text, graphics and links
- Advanced HTML (tables/forms/frames)
- JAVA-script
- Using JAVA-applets
- CGI-programming
- Communication with databases from the WEB, ASP and ODBC-standard.
- Setting up a WEB-server and tools for maintaining it. |
