Aim: To enable the students to perform analysis of the bearing operational and performance parameters, and to give an introduction to the scientific literature in this field. |
Contents: Lubricant properties. Bearing materials. The theory of the hydrodynamic bearing and its operating and performance parameters. The theory of the hydrostatic bearing and its operating and performance parameters.
Elastohydrodynamic lubrication. Rolling element bearings. Friction and wear in bearings. |
