Aim: To learn the participants to analyse, evaluate and design hydraulic and pneumatic systems and units to control of machines and machinery by using CAE/CAD tools. |
Contents: Applications of fluid power, i.e. hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Oil hydraulic systems and pure water hydraulic systems. Analysis and methods. Specifications including load locus and dynamic characteristics. Properties of fluids, air and gasses. Static and dynamic properties of hydraulic motors and pumps, flow control, preasure control, direction control and servo control. Basic hydraulic systems. Hydraulic drives anol actuators. Load sensing systems. Hydraulic servo mechanisms. Stationary and mobile hydrostatic transmissions. Hydraulic power suppliers. Accumulators. Application areas for pneumatic systems and units to control of machinery. Analysis and methods. Specifications for pneumaticsystems and components. Design methods for pneumatic control systems. Static and dynamic properties of compressors, valves, cylinders and motors, pneumatic PID-controllers and servo systems. Practical examples. Contamination and and noise in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Advantages of pure water hydraulics. Bond Graphs used in non-linear modelling. Project work on design of hydraulic systems.
