Aim: To give the student an insight into selected areas of
a) Modern eukaryote microbiology, molecular biology and genetics with emphasis on yeasts and filamentous fungi.
b) Reading of research articles.
c) Lecturing techniques. |
Contents: Regulation of gene activity in yeast and filamentous fungi studied by reading the latest accessible scientific papers. Relevant papers are presented by the student in the form of seminars and written proposals. Among the subjects are DNAreplication, transcription, translation, genetics, secretion and cell cycle. |
