| Aim: To make the students able to design an offshore platform with emphasis on the mechanical composition of topside facilities. |
| Contents: Platform types, functional requirements and specifications, process plants - chemically/physically, process plants - mechanically, materials flow, weight balance, energy balance, maintenance. The methods trained are tested by preparation of a general arrangement and an outline specification of a offshore platform. |
