Aim: The aim of the course is to enable the students to understand and use the fundamental physical laws of hydrostatics and hydrodynamics and enable them to use the theory for experimental investigations of machinery and systems.

Contents: Hydrostatics. Frictionless fluid (Bernouillis equation). Losses in fluid flows (impulse law). Laminar and turbulent flow in pipes and ducts. Combustion theory. Thermodynamic properties of moist air. Heat exhanges therml propotions. Investigation of measurement instruments and machines.
