Aim: To exercise the students in designing a production tool from technical, enviromental and economic requirements.
Contents: The student chooses till type for his work within forming tools (for instance: forming, shearing, punching and bending tools), fixtures, assembly and measure fixtures and various auxiliary tools and accesories. Drawing up functional demands for the tool including process and capacity demands together with economical demands. Drawing up and analysis of solution possibillities and limitations. Selection of construction principle and elaboration including choice of material and dimensioning. Specification of the tool (drawings), production methods together with production time and price.
