Aim: To introduce the student to a range of different acoustic measurement techniques. To obtain experience with measurements and with the relationship between theory and practice.
|
Contents: Introductory lectures on fundamentals of acoustic measurements. The students carry out five different acoustic measurements in small groups. Each measurement takes two days including the work with the report. The measurement may be related to: hearing aids, headphones, microphone calibration, room acoustic parameters, sound propagation in a scale model, vibration in lightweight structures, sound intensity under varying conditions.
